Hello all, I am new to Revit and I'm using LT if that makes a difference. I'm trying to figure out how this works and I really need good tutorials for starting residential plans. I'm typically draw 2d plans with elevations and bought this to speed me up but I'm backing up bad trying to figure this out. I don't want to waste time watching unnecessary tutorials I just need to create my topos, floors, walls, stories like basement and upstairs, ceilings, roofs and then dimensions, hatches for exteriors, elevation views, put it all on title blocks and print! Don't care about MEP, squares of shingles, linear ft of fascia, etc. I also apparently need to build libraries for everything, ugh! Walls, doors, etc. Most everything I use is not existing. Does anyone have these in a file I can download? Sorry to sound so desperate but I'm really getting behind. Any help towards the right tutorials and/or videos would be appreciated. Can't find online classes either. Thanks

Hire a learned professional who has created topos, floors, walls, stories like basement and upstairs, ceilings, roofs and then dimensions, hatches for exteriors, elevation views, put it all on title blocks and printed it. Be a heck of a lot faster.

Residential Design Using Autodesk Revit 2020 is designed for users completely new to Autodesk Revit. This text takes a project based approach to learning Autodesk Revit s architectural tools in which you develop a single family residence all the way to photorealistic renderings like the one on the cover. Each book also includes access to extensive video training designed to further help you master Autodesk Revit.
The lessons begin with a basic introduction to Autodesk Revit 2020. The first four chapters are intended to get you familiar with the user interface and many of the common menus and tools.
Throughout the rest of the book a residential building is created and most of Autodesk Revit s tools and features are covered in greater detail. Using step-by-step tutorial lessons, the residential project is followed through to create elevations, sections, floor plans, renderings, construction sets, etc.

Explores the latest version of Autodesk's AutoCAD program as a 2D design, drafting and visualization tool. Provides learners with skill development starting at an introductory level and progressing to a level in which authentic architectural construction graphics and working drawings including annotations can be developed.

Explores Trimble's SketchUp as a design and visualization tool. Develops learners' skills in creating realistic computer models that can be used to create full color renderings, animations, exported/imported AutoCAD files for construction drawings and Layout as a construction documentation tool.

Introduces the learner to basic SolidWorks commands to produce 3-dimentsional parts, assemblies and engineering drawings. The learner will master beginner level commands and have a thorough understanding of the basic operation of the software.

Introduces the learner to Building Information Modeling (BIM) by using the latest version of Autodesk's Revit. Revit is a computer modeling program that allows for intelligent, 3D and parametric object-based design. Learners explore the program by the use of tutorials and exercises that start at an introductory level proceeding throughout the semester to create a complete set of residential construction documents.

Introduces the 3-dimensional modeling software Inventor to create solid part models, sheet metal and assemblies. The learner will create parts and assemblies as well as related 2D working drawings, bills of materials and animations. Learners will practice their skills on a variety of projects with various levels of difficulty.

Introduces the learner to intermediate SolidWorks commands to produce 3- dimensional parts, assemblies and engineering drawings. The learner will utilize and practice their existing beginner level commands and skills while mastering intermediate level skills with an emphasis on mechanical engineering drafting and design. Upon completion the Learner will have an opportunity to take the SolidWorks Certified Associate Exam (CSWA) to obtain a highly recognized credential known worldwide.

Strengthens the learners skill set in Building Information Modeling (BIM) by using the latest version of Autodesk's Revit. Learners enhance their BIM skills by developing light commercial construction documents through tutorials and exercises. Learners will also be introduced to family content creation and structural REVIT tools.
